Ashrain's Path-- by Nebula&star

[Hey guys! I changed my signature-- it's Nebula&star now!! Please excscuse any spelling mistakes or typos..... nobody is perfect! Hope you enjoy reading Ashrain's Path!! XD]
Ashkit bounced in exitment. The day was finnally here! She was going to become an apprentice! She thought back to that day, so long ago, when she had opened her eyes up in order to look upon the world and was met with only darkness. Months had past scince that fateful day, but the sight of her lost parents still peirced her heart like a sharp thorn. Ashkit sighed. It didn't matter, anyways. She had a new mother now. After Riverstar had left, Skysong, their beutiful grey medicine cat, had basically mothered Ashkit for the first few months without her mother. They had grown really close, and Ashkit regarded Skysong as a combonation of mother and sister.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneith the fallen log for a clan meeting!"
Riverstar's voice snapped Ashkit from her musings. She sat up and hurried over to the sound of his voice, following the sound of cat's footsteps. One cat accidentally bumped into her, causing her to veer sharply to her left. From his scent, he was probably Ratpaw.
"Watch it, no eyes!"
Yep. Definitly Ratpaw. Ashkit sighed inwardly as he walked past her. He was Owlwings apprentice, and he never lost a chance to tease her about her sightlessness. She continued on tord the center of the clearing, bumping into a few more cats on the way. She settled down into a crouching posttion and waited for Riverstar to speak.
"We have some kits who have reached the age of apprenticehood. Would Ravenkit, Stonekit, Adderkit and Blackkit please step forward."
Ashkit waited for her name to be called as ell, but nobody stood up for her to have her naming saramony. Suddently, Skysong spoke.
What about Ashkit? She is of age too."
"Yes, fine. You may come up too."
Ashkit walked forward, nearly trembling with excitment, and stood next to Ravenkit.
"Would Ashkit please step forward. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to scorn the easy life of a kittypet?"
Ashkit, now too scared to speak, could only nod mutley as her sightless eyes stared up at Riverstar.
"Then by the powers vested in me by Starclan, I now name you Ashpaw. Graytears, you have been a good, if sad, warrior, and I charge you to teach these attributed to Ashpaw. Both of them."
Riverstar smirked at Ashpaw, but sshe didn't care. She was an apprentice. A huge grin streched across her face as she bowed her head to touch Graytears. She was an apprentice now. She was free.
[Ok guys, I'll try to write the next chapter today or tomarrow. Thanks for reading! Be sure to write applications!]
~ Nebula&star
