About the Author

Edward Mooney, Jr., was born in Massachusetts and raised in California. While he has written since childhood, he started his professional journey in 1992. His current books include "The Pearls of the Stone Man" and "The Journey of the Stone Man." The final book of the trilogy, "The Hope of the Stone Man," is coming in 2016. His first manuscript, "Toy Jeeps," is expected to re-release in the near future. After a few years working in computers, Edward taught high school science and social studies. Along the way he coached American football, mock trial and ran an on-campus television station. In 2010 he was named the Teacher of the Year for the state of California by the Daughters of the American Revolution. In 2014 Edward became college professor of education in Northern California. He holds the degrees of Doctor of Education, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Science. He is licensed to teach in California, Oregon and Colorado. On the personal side, Edward enjoys computers, camping, maps, flags, time with loved ones, and catering to every whim of the family dog, Sissy. He likes chocolate, ice cream, Italian food, Mexican food and cookies. His newest hobby is calorie counting (you can see why).
