Jet lag tonic, basil mojito to kid-friendly juices this book has recipes for everyone interested in juicing. The book includes not just the calorie count but also how the juice will work and how long the juice will last when stored in the refrigerator. I really like the kid-friendly juices which are sweet and so tasty to the kids but aren’t loaded with sugars as the ones you’d buy in the store. My almost 2 year old loves juice so juices like the sneaky veggie juice or the carrot apple juice fulfill her cravings and ensure she gets the benefits of healthy fruits and veggies.

I purchased a juicer some time ago with the plan of using it for the nutritional value that fruit and vegetables offer. I experimented with it a few times only to find things to taste bland. The opportunity to evaluate this book couldn’t have come at a better time. After recently having unexpected abdominal surgery I knew it was a time to explore the whole juicer idea again. First of all I am impressed with all the information The Juicing Recipes Book by Mendocino Press offers. It has a nice introduction of different types of juicers, ingredients, prep and nutrition charts. Recipes are grouped according to their purpose and health or wellness need. The recipes are simple to follow and the juices produced are packed full of flavor and visually appetizing. Each recipe includes the nutritional values, along with helpful hints and notes throughout the book. I have learned so much from this book, and continue to learn something new every time I open it. My juicer will always be on the counter and used daily now that I have this book. With the fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden in the coming months I can’t wait to try more of the recipes. I highly recommend this book to anyone whether you are a beginner or a seasoned juicer. I received this book for free to evaluate in return for an honest and unbiased review.

This book is so cramped pack with great juicing drinks I had to go buy a new juicer! First off I love that the juicing ideas from this book are tasty but also healthy! So far my family hasn't unplugged the juicer since its being used up to 3 times a day.  Not only is there drinks for adults but a lot of these drinks are even great for kids too! I know what your thinking! Getting kids to drink their veggies is never going to happen! Well my kids love too now! I plan to try every recipe in this book as I plan to eat better with the goal of losing weight. So far it has helped me get more of these things my body needs and less premixed drinks that are unhealthy . I got this book at no charge in exchange for a honest review. Its great you should try some or all of these dlish drinks!

Like most people who bought this book, I just got my first juicer and needed some recipes!  It is truly time for me and my family to get healthy and eat right.  Our bodies deserve to be treated better than the fast food industry is treating them.  I will be honest, I chose this book because it offers 150 recipes!  I figured, there has to be SOME good tasting ones, right?  Oh my but there are.  My family is so happy with our decision to get a juicer and this book that everyone is making every kind of drink imaginable. Each recipe they include all the nutritional information and everything is put into its own category.  Of course I stay in the detox/weight lose section and my husband is staying in protein section and the kids, well they stay in the kids section. I do wish I had waited to buy the book first because it gives a wealth of information on the 3 types of juicers. Regardless, other than giving recipes I wish it was a tad more personal that's just my preference.

This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it.  What I like most was the way the juices target relief of various ailments such as stress, headaches, diabetes, and menopause to name a few.  Each recipe has an intro paragraph which explains the nutrients associated with the prescribed benefit. And they all sound so fresh and tasty. If you buy one juicing book, this should be the one!!

This is an excellent book. It is full of 150 different healthy juicing recipes. If you are looking for some new ones to try out every morning, you really need to snag this book. It's very worth it and it's always fun to find new ways to eat your fruits and vegetables while enjoying them at the same time. I highly recommend this book. We plan on using our juicer more often because of it!

I am just learning the ins and outs of juicing. I didn't realize there was such a big difference in juicers. The Juicing Recipes Book starts out explaining the difference between how the different juicers work. It then goes into what different juice blends will do for your body (energy, cleansing, etc...). I just thought that you threw fruits and vegetables together and drank it. This book was amazing at explaining it all, and providing wonderful recipes for your juicing diet. A great book for both those just starting out, and those who have been juicing for a while.

After reading this book, I ended up buying myself a centrifugal juicer and I figure I can adapt some of these into smoothies or ices for the summer. I was inspired to purchase a manual citrus juicer though separately to help me juice lemons, limes and oranges. I appreciate the good ideas. Seems like I can also make flavored ice cubes with these juices to infuse my water with some flavor.

I just started juicing and I thought it would get boring fast. I mean how many ways can you mix carrots and apples right? Well this book changed my mind fast! There are so many wonderful recipes to try. My current fav is the Citrus Energy!

I love all of the different juicing recipes--ones for cleansing, ones for antioxidant purposes--they are all great. Goes over food prep, food storage, and what you keep at home for regular juicing needs. I also like this book tells you about the different types of juicers that are out on the market.

WOW! This book has so much great information on juicing from pro's and con's, history, facts about the products you are juicing and 150 great recipes. I've been one to try juicing for a few days and get bored with the recipes I had. I now have a bigger selection on recipes. My kids are even begging me to juice for them. This book has it all a bit of something for everyone in your entire family. It's a very useful guide to use that comes with helpful and easy to follow directions for each recipe you want to try. I personally can't wait to try them all. The benefits to juicing are great - I use it for weight loss.

Must have for anyone that loves juicing or wants to get started. Great info on different types of juicers & helpful tools, but the real reason I love this is the recipes.  It's organized wonderfully and contains nutrition information for each recipe. Try the Sweet Potato & Asparagus!

Valuable juicing information covers everything you need to choose the right machine as well as maximize the nutritional benefits from your ingredients; recipes are organized into common sense  classifications that are easy to understand. I love that recipes include important nutritional information  and handy symbols for juicer types. There’s an amazing  kid’s chapter too!

The book starts out with a section on different types of juicers and their features. That being said, you'll find that for each recipe, there will be a little icon letting you know which type of juicer best suits that particular recipe. There's a handy list of ingredients you should keep on hand as well as a list of foods not to put in the juicer due to their oily nature or low water content because it just turns them to mush. There are, however instructions on how to incorporate such items in the recipes themselves. There's also a produce prep chart, which I find particularly handy. The recipes are categorized into breakfast, brain nourishing, alkalizing, anti-aging, antioxidant, cleansing, diabetes friendly, digestive health, high energy, green, healthful skin, kid friendly, low fat, protein, and weight loss.

Many want to be healthier but either dont know where to start or think only food that taste bad is good. This book is going to prove you wrong ! Why eat something nasty in the hopes that it'll bring you down a dress size when you can have a yummy breakfast juice in the comfort of your home. This book includes Healthy skin juices, kid friendly juices, and things for the entire family. Honestly my favorite chapter is the breakfast juices because so many had fruits and things we love , all mixed into a juice that isn't green with smoke coming out of it . They look good and i'm sure they taste amazing !

The Juicing Recipes Book is a great collection of recipes, but what I liked best is how they are sorted. I don’t do juicing for a specific reason, so I like being able to find a recipe for what I need, whether that’s a little extra energy, or a mental boost, or a treat, or what have you. It also covers the pros and cons of the different types of juicers out there. So all in all, a well rounded recipe book!

This recipe book is a must read and a must do! I just love it and can’t wait to try making the Breakfast Mojito and the Green Fountain of Youth. It presents, very interestingly, a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that make for healthy combinations that are good for cleansing, skin health, and energy boosting.

If you love juicing I highly recommend this e-book.  If you've never juiced and frankly don't understand the difference between juicing and blending, I highly recommend this e-book.  I for one fall into the latter group but I learned so much from this book: different types of juicers and advantages of each, why specific combinations produce specific results, ingredient nutrition, how to properly prepare produce.  And the recipes themselves taught me to think outside the box with regard to combining ingredients.  All in all, this is a great e-book to have handy.

The recipes detailed here are easy to follow and varied; breakfast supplements, diabetic friendly juices and protein juices all housed in one book. They are also straightforward and require no special equipment, except maybe a juicer. But as most people that would purchase this book are more than likely to already own a juicer, the only thing you might need is a sharp knife.

Much more than a recipe book. This juicing book takes the mystery out of making delicious and healthy juices for you and your family. In addition to the 150 recipes, the authors offer information on why juicing is healthy, how to prepare fruits and vegetables for juicing and which products work the best for juicing. They also tell you what to look for when you go shopping for a juicer. This book belongs in everyone's cookbook collection.

Both a useful how-to plus a great collection of recipes. Explains the different types of juicers and outlines the prep work for juicing. The recipes themselves are great. And they're coded according to the medical conditions they help treat. Highly recommended.

Now that people are really starting to explore juicing, buying this book would be how you really learn. It has a lot of the bread and butter juicing, like carrot, orange, tomato, spinach, kale, and apple. You can even combine cranberry with carrots, it has a lot of unique ideas to choose from. I am a lover when it comes to juicing, so I am so anxious to try this book out! Who ever wrote this truly must be the juicing master!
