Life Changing Book

This book changed my life! So many things I had questions about were answered. I struggled to understand Kabbalah books and sort of gave up. It explains big ideas like 'Life Purpose' so clearly that I was changed by reading it. The writer made me feel very clear about why I am here and how important it is to do good deeds. Now I feel more confident that if I read a Kabbalah book and don't understand something, I can look it up in the Kabbalah Handbook. For some reason I understand how she explains it and hope to read more by her.

Great, Accurate Resource for ANYONE interested in JEWISH MYSTICISM (KABBALAH). Indispensible!

I have been so inspired by this book - the comprehensiveness, yes, but also how easy it is to read and how inspired I feel when I read some of it. I do think that its title (concise encyclopedia) might make some think it is just for reference, but, believe me, it is compelling just to read it cover to cover. It's ideas seem to surpass the divisions between faiths and traditions and, as far as I can tell, the book answers many questions I have had as a spiritual seeker. I respect that the author has chosen to present the deep Jewish roots of Kabbalah in spiritual practice and quest, and has, I believe, consciously decided to leave the more occult areas to the many books already in print on such subjects.

I think anyone, regardless ofbackground or knowledge, will benefit tremendously by having this superb reference book as part of their studies and library.

    I Highly Recommend!!

Kabalah has always been a difficult subject for me, yet I am drawn to it time and time again. I haven't always understood the books I've read and could have used a book like this to clarify certain topics. I t is very deep, but is written in an every day language, which I appreciate! I have already used it for my comparative religions class and it has been very helpful. The introudction is excellent and gave me a lot of insight. This is a very good book. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about Kabalah.

    Excellent and Inspiring Resource

This is one of the best reference books I know of. Even the Introduction gives one an accurate and well-rounded understanding of just what Kabbalah is and isn't. The author was wise to draw on the authentic and ancient sources in Jewish mysticism - this gives the book great grounding and credibility. There are plenty of books out there that address the more modern and occult aspects of Kabbalah, so I'm glad to find one that sticks to the classics. It's rare to find such a comprehensive reference book that is truly inspirational, as well. I look forward to more from this writer!
