Note from the Author:
What are kaizen events, and can you really use them to double your profits? Kaizen is a Japanese word which means improvement. A kaizen event is a focused week-long improvement effort. A well-planned and expertly led event can produce one or more of the following results: lead time and work-in-process reduced by 80%, scrap reduced by 50%, and productivity increased by 30%. These improvements will help you simultaneously increase your market share and reduce your costs, resulting in dramatically better profits.

I picked up this book to help me in improving our company's processs. The format of this book really fits in with the kinds of issues that we have delt with. The ideas brought about are basically common sense, but sometimes we tend to forget how to do things better. This book is much like 'The Goal', I enjoyed it greatly and I recommend it to anyone who wants to make their processes, especially manufacturing, processes achieve higher standards of Quality, lower Costs, and faster Delivery times. Was this review helpful?
