Overview

This boxed set includes Books One through Four of the Kandesky Vampire Chronicles: Book One, SNAP: The World Unfolds; Book Two, SNAP: New Talent; Book Three, Plague: A Love Story and Book Four, DANUBE: A Tale of Murder.
Follow Maxie Gwenoch as she takes the job of Managing Editor for SNAP Magazine, the world's largest and most popular gossip media covering celebrities around the globe.
First, she finds the owners of SNAP are a family of Hungarian vampires, then she discovers she's the reason for an escalating war between the Kandeskys and their archrivals, the Huszars.

In the second book of the SNAP Kandesky vampire series, Maxie Gwenoch, media-savvy editor of the multinational celeb gossip magazine SNAP, is pummeled in Paris and kidnapped in Kiev as the Huszars ramp up the race to oust their centuries-old rivals, the Kandeskys.
SNAP's owners, the Kandesky family of vampires, built the world's most popular celeb coverage empire but this isn't just a business take-over. These powerful vampire families lived with an uneasy peace for four centuries until Maxie came in to boost SNAP's coverage and started making inroads into the Huszar's traditional hunting territories.
Although Jean-Louis, Maxie's lover, vampire and second-in-command of the Kandeskys, tries to keep her safe, Maxie is determined to do things her way, a way that may lose her her job, her love and her life.

Books Three and Four tell the history of the Kandeskys themselves. Plague is the love story of The Baron Stefan Kandesky and Pen, his partner, and Danube is the tale of Jean-Louis and his wife, Magda.

Editorial Reviews

Paranormal Romance Guild - Linda Tonis
"Ms. Drier takes us into a very interesting place, the world of gossip and the world of vampires. Both interesting in and of itself but together fascinating. The first book did not disappoint and neither did this one."

Would I recommend this book? Ah most definitely, I think any vampire story lover should go right over to Amazon and buy this book right now. This story had me hooked from page one until the very end and I can’t wait to find out what happens with Maxie next. Will I read more by this author? You betcha, trust me I have the next book already queued up on my list and waiting to be bought!

"Last year I found SNAP: The World Unfolds a fun escapist weekend read.... looking forward to finding out what new mayhem Maxie and the Kandesky clan get up to."

Amazon - Loves Romance
Lots of complex political intrigue, posturing and manoeuvring takes place, much as in real life when big organisations go head to head, along with threats and violence. Maxie has to walk a fine line between getting her job as managing editor done and staying alive. Throw in a romance with the urbane Jean-Louis and you have an original and engrossing urban fantasy. I've read a lot of paranormal romance, but I've not come across another world quite like the one in SNAP. Highly recommended!
Goodreads - June Gillam
Love this story! I've not read vampire literature before but this is woven so smoothly into "regular" life--really fun! We get to hop back and forth from Europe to North and South America, travel through 500 years of history, and learn about lifestyles other than human! I was shocked when end of World Unfolds came so soon, and now am on to following Maxie's amazing adventure in SNAP: New Talent, next in the The Kandesky Vampire Chronicles.

Gripping.....Not to be missed. Someone said there was no character development but but I thought they were very well developed. You may not like the personalities but this is a good series.

    Good Premise

This would have been a lot better if the grammar and syntax had been carefully reviewed. The chapters all seemed stilted and rushed.

I would like to have seen more character development. Maxie had no discernible personality and prone to extremes while Jean-Louis was bland at best and ridiculous mostly.
