Prophecy is prologue

England, 1775. An ambitious American pushes his expedition onward despite dire warnings from the locals. But what Benjamin Franklin discovers on the Isle of Wight isn't just superstition. It's a secret with the power to save the world—or destroy it.

In less than four hundred days, most of the world's population will be dead. Nobody knows why, only when: February 9, 2027.

Retired FBI Special Agent Will Piper is one of the few who will live "Beyond the Horizon." Fifteen years ago, he revealed the prophecy to the world after the hunt for a madman led him to the mystical Library of Vectis, now housed at Area 51, in an unmarked location in the Nevada desert.

Will is determined to live out his days in the Florida sun . . . even as the world sinks into hedonism and despair . . . even as the Doomsday Killer's ominous calling cards resurface . . . until the apocalypse threatens the one thing Will won't compromise on: his own flesh and blood.

This was the 3rd installment in this series featuring Will Piper and his family. Taking up from the 2nd book in the series when it appeared all future beyond 2027 was "Beyond the Horizon" (BTH) a new library is discovered. It draws in the US, England and China into a tense global face-off of who will control the library. Will and his family become involved and the help the keepers of the library save their secret and end the stand-off of global powers. The book leaves open a 4th chapter but there has been no talk of one in the works. If one does come forth I will certainly pick it up

Not quite as good as the two leading up to it, but still a good book.

I liked this series very well. Makes you wonder if there really is something to it!! After all, there IS an Area 51! Cooper has a different take on the "End of Days" scarefest. I thought he might end the book the way he did. Hope to see more of him.

One thing that I find offensive about. This book is the way it treats woman. It sounds more Satan inspirted than God inspiried,
