Overview

Six months ago, werewolf tracker Dana Gray barely escaped from Cole Randall, the wolf serial killer who kept her in his basement torturing her. Toying with her. He almost killed her, but he couldn't. He let her live.

Now, she finds herself obsessed with Cole. His voice haunts her, hypnotic and liquid, flowing through her, both horrifying and arousing. She can't shut him up.

At her job, she struggles with a bewildering case in which rehabilitated werewolves are going astray and killing again. From his maximum security cell, Cole claims he has all the answers. But he'll only talk to Dana.

Maybe Cole knows something. Maybe he doesn't. Dana doesn't know. She only knows she's grateful for the excuse to go to him. And once she hears his voice again, she'll do anything to see him, whether it helps the case or not.

Meet the Author

V. J. Chambers likes bad boys, but she likes them to be actual bad boys, not misunderstood weaklings who cover up their emotional scars with a thin veneer of pretend bad-boy-ness.

She likes to tackle difficult philosophical questions. She likes to push fiction to the edge, to go just a little farther.

She writes stories about difficult people living difficult lives in difficult situations. Usually, there’s magic. Or monsters. Or space. Or gun fights. A lot of times, there’s also L-O-V-E. (Or at least uncomfortable conversations about sex.)

She’s the author of the Jason and Azazel series and many other stories for teens and adults. She lives in Shepherdstown, WV with her boyfriend Aaron and their cat.

    Good read

For mature audiences. Dark, sexy, makes you think about subjects you might not want to confront. Not your average wolf story

    more from this reviewer

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest rev

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review, and let me tell you, as usually with V.J. Chambers it did not disappoint! Special thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. I would give this book 4.5 stars out of 5. The plot had me pulled in from the beginning and it was hard to tear myself away from the book even though I had things I had to do. Some of the concepts in the book are a little different, but the overall plot and characters in the book are great! Even though the concept of this book involves werewolves it comes at it from a different perspective, making the book very enjoyable. I really enjoyed this book and am already looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

    Blackstar and Moonistia

Blackstar ran into their den and hid in the dark, Moonistia padded in slowly looking around "Blackstar come out, you don't have to be upset."
