Open Up the Authorized Version: Get This Book!

I believe the the KJV is the best translation of the Bible in the english language. I don't think that it is the archaic language that makes people cringe, but it is the fact that some just don't want to take the time to get a good Webster's Dictionary and do a little research. But when you do the research, the word comes out clear, precise, and specific enough to apply it to your Christian walk. But if you don't believe that, get this title with the Greek paralell, (which is what I have,) and go through it bit by bit. First, of all, i have learned a lot of the Greek language alone just by translating the books of the New Testament for myself. I have also found just how close the KJV is to the origional language. Third, if one thinks that the KJV is pretty plain, the greek makes it even plainer! The only drawback is that in some of the footnotes, the author puts in some of his personal views of the interpretation of the scriptures. Some may like them, but if one does not hold to the unconditional security doctrine, it can be a bit of a snag. If this applies to you, just overlook them, and enjoy the blessing that this tome of study can give.
