This book had several knots I had never seen before. Better yet, there were novel methods of tying some that I had seen before. Tying the Jar Sling on a bight starting from a Lark's Head really impressed me. The diagrams were OK for the Nook Simple Touch. The layout was not the best, as I had to refer to the text in order to keep the diagrams straight or I would give it 5 stars. The book also had lots of practical and safety tips, like wearing safety goggles to protect against breaking strain snap back and what knots to attach stuff to your car's luggage rack or to hold down a tarp. Also trick knots and "magic" tricks. The brief history notes were also fun. Budworth is a much better author than most technical folk. The Phoebe Knot was discovered by Ashley's daughter. The author also included one by his own daughter
