    I Also Recommend:

This is a concise visual history of the church from just after the crucifiction to the year 500 AD

A very accurate though short history of the church. This book is especially helpful for a fast review for someone with a previous knowledge of church history or a crash course in the early church for anyone not familiar with the church and the early formation. It covers an amazing amount of information in such a concise book. (32 pp) The author is a recognized expert in church history as well as a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary. The multiple charts and maps make a great study aide for individual study or for preparing to teach a class in the church on history and some early personalities involved in the early formation of the christian church.
