I was given this copy courtesy of NetGalley for an honest review.
Um, when is the second book coming out? This book had everything: action, kidnapping, adventure, ghosts, and my favorite, Tomi's chocolate addiction. I loved the diverse group of character, who brings different set of skills to the table. They were likable and I can't wait to see more of them. The plot and setting were great, I can't wait to see what other places they're going to go and what artifact they're going to find.
Mia, a twelve year old foster kid, had been bounced from foster home to foster home, takes up residence in a new home, called the Tarpley's Estate. Where she finds three girls, Devon, Tomi, and Lily, who Mrs. T fosters, who are around the same age as her or a little older.
Almost immediately Mia knew they were hiding something from her, but she didn't know what and wanted to find out of course. After a rude encounter with one of the girls Mia wants to runaway, but on the day, or should I say night, of her attempted runaway, she ends following the girls and Mrs. T's assistant out into the Labyrinth. Mia ends up in France by grabbing one of the girls arms, trying to save her.
Mia is immediately filled in about the Labyrinth Society and what they do. One of the girls explains that they're in France to search for the necklace of Marie Antoinette that has been lost in history. Of course they're villains who wants to get their hands on the lost necklace as well and will do anything to attain it. The girls have powerful items with them, along with their skills to help them along the way.
My only problem I had was with the first chapter when the girls introduced themselves, I thought it took an element of shock/surprise out on small part of the book for me. Other than that I loved it and can't wait to read more.

I can see a lot of places this series can go. It is a fun adventure. The characters are likeable, young, adventurous that you want to see more of them. The setting was from Ohio to France. It has a good plot and a little paranormal on the side. It is a clean book that anyone can enjoy reading and dreaming.
Mia is 12 year old in foster care. She is taken to live at Tarpley Estate to a mansion. There she finds Tome, Devon and Lily already living with Mrs. Tarpley. Mia realizes that they are hiding things from her so she decides to find out. She ends up following them to France when she grabs one of the other girls.
There they find out that others want the same thing they are after. Two henchman try to grab them but they split up. Their is lots of action and drama, there is kidnapping, rescue, fire, ghosts and lots of fun adventure as they try and trace down Marie Antoinette's necklace that has been lost to history.
There many magical items with power that the girls sneak out with them to help them accomplish there missions. The girls also use there talents to help. Their brains , physical skills and fast thinking.
I would love to read more of this series in the future. I would also like to travel like they can from Labyrinth to Labyrinth anywhere in the world fast.
I was given this book to read and asked in return to give honest review of it by Net Galley.
