The Lansing Tower - is a story of East meets West. The author has expressed the love story between American Paul and his Chinese lady love Yasei. There were many issues for migrants to US post 9/11. This story also deals with that as well as how love and determination helps tide over all hurdles in life – personal as well as professional. There are people like James Bondo in Paul and Yasei’s life, who stand behind them through thick and thin. There are others like Reginald, Cindy, etc who back stab them and misuse their trust. Life is a roller coaster and if we have a strong will to fight it out, then there is no looking back and one can easily survive in this wicked, wild world. Yasei is also engaged in sorting out the relationship issues between Paul’s first partner Romona and his daughter, Pamela. Read this story to understand the human nature and will to survive.

“The Lansing Tower” by Scot Ciminillo is a touching story of cross continent love between Paul, an American businessman and Yasei, a charming and ambitious Chinese woman. It describes her trials and turbulence in balancing her American dream of freedom and acceptance in new society, post 9/11. It is a tale of a determined woman who tries to set the records right that her loving husband had unintentionally messed up, whether it was finances or family relations. Human relations are most complex and legal battles for custody and financial compensation tends to give it an ugly turn most of the times. Yasei is pictured as a strong and ambitious woman, who with the help of their friend James Bondo, post her husband, Paul’s death, tries to bring justice to his business and his daughter Pamela from earlier relationship to woman named Romona. Love, faith, deceit, fear of acceptance and challenges of life are all very well projected in the novel. It gives a beautiful picture of blending of two diverse cultures that merge wonderfully against all odds. The novel also emphasizes on struggle in new land of a new bride, trying to adjust to a new cultural environment and seeking acceptance by the people of totally diversified background

What exactly is the strength of love? Is it possible to survive in an unknown place with just a loved one by your side? All this and more is narrated in a heartwarming story of an American man and his Chinese love. It is a story about the life and tests that Paul and Yasei experience in America, after the 9/11 terror attack. It was a tough life for immigrants and the cross culture union had to face many hurdles to settle down. Life is never complete without trials and tribulations. It is aptly said that “life is but a bed of thorns”. This was a lesson that Yasei would soon learn in her dream land. Read on to follow Paul and Yasei’s life in the novel “The Lansing Tower” by Scot Ciminillo. There is also an interwoven plot about treachery, frustration, true friendship, etc. It makes an interesting reading to see how Yasei tackles her problems
