This short story is 18 pages long. It was written by a young man about 13 - 14 years old. He dedicated the book to a friend who died of cancer. I teach a writting / English class for young people. I have a problem with my typing skills, but I can edit like nobody's business. This short story has all the elements a short story, or any story should have. It was imaginative, had a good opening, middle and conclusion. There was suspense and a dab of humor. There was a good fundamental grasp of basic sentence abd paragraph structure. He story has a nice flow. I admire his gumption on publishing a story on B&N and being willing to face the sometimes cruel comments made by adults, who can not write a single sentence properly and without misspellings. If I were giving this a grade, I would give it a B. The author needs to work on his past, present and future tenses. Sometimes he gets them messed up in the same sentence. He also needs to punctuate better. A few more details would help clarify and define the subject. Overall, he did a very good job, considering his age and experience. I am very, very proud of his effort and he should be also. AD

This book was written by a young man, maybe in the future he will publish something worth reading.

I am sorry if you do not like the book but I will try and make my new book better (and with better punctuation)! -Kenny Hartwick -Author

Short, only 18 pages, but I liked this book. Although you could tell that it was not written by an adult, I enjoyed it and caught myself smiling at some of the detail in the book. This young man definitely has a career ahead of him in writing. Keep at it.

This is a very boring and juvenile book. I am very thankful it was a very short story. I didn't bother to finish it.
