As usual, America was going about its business on this Tuesday morning. The sun was shining, the economy thriving and the greatest nation -- one week later -- was going to be dealt a serious blow never seen on American soil.

America, and what it stands for, will for one day be silent. That day is September 11, 2001. A day when we saw some 3500 people lose their lives on one of the most catastrophic days since Pearl Harbor.

A day that many thought was The Last Day.
