The Last Hunter - Lament (Book 4 of the Antarktos Saga)

Overview

In all the days since my kidnapping, breaking and transformation into a hunter at the hands of the half-human, half-demon Nephilim, my life has been a mass of chaotic actions and reactions to the horrors of the Antarctic underworld. I have battled unnatural monsters, fled for my life, and sacrificed everything-or thought I had, when I stepped through the gates of Tartarus. Every choice I have made was in response to forces beyond my control, lacking any kind of direction.

But now, reunited with my friends, Kainda and Em, and in the company of new friends, Wright and Kat, I am taking control of the chaos and choosing my own direction-down. Deeper than the realm of Hades, the most feared of the Nephilim, deeper than the gates of Tartarus and deeper than any human being has ventured since the beginnings of the human race.

My goal is simple-find the Jericho shofar, a weapon revealed to me by Cronus the Titan. I don't know what it does or how it works, but I know the Nephilim fear it and that Nephil, possessing the body of Ninnis, will do anything to stop me from recovering it. The path will be dangerous and the cost might be great, but my path is clear: retrieve the shofar, return to the surface and prepare for war.

My name is Solomon Ull Vincent-the Last Hunter-and I am done running.

    Holy cow! The revelations!

Solomon and his group heads back underground to find the weapon that will end the Nephilim aggression. They are being chased by a band of hunters and two more of the Solomon clones. After an intense encounter with Hades, the group moves on to the most amazing place. While there, Solomon battles Nephil/Ninnis and is able to acquire the weapon. Outside the doors of Tartarus, they run into friends who help them get to the human forces preparing for battle on the beaches of Antarktos.

Really, the series just keeps getting better and better. The revelations are astounding! I didn’t want to put the book down.

Definitely read this book. Hopefully after reading the previous books in the series.

    Book 4 keeps it going!

"The Last Hunter" and it's companion yet stand-alone novel, " Antarktos Rising" are now among my favorite books/series of any type of media-books, movies, video games, etc.  If you are reading this, unsure of whether you should read this, be assured, buy it!  It's got action, dinosaurs, intense fight and flight scenes, like able characters, awesome storytelling, some hair-raising scariness- all you could want in an awesome epic!  For an added experience, read "Antarktos Rising" in between part 2: Pursuit and part 3: Ascent!  Then prepare for the Jeremy Robinson floodgates to open, he has a ton of other winners-check them all out!

When I found out about this book, it didn't interest me as much

When I found out about this book, it didn't interest me as much as previous books of Robinson's had, I held off on getting it till I was finished with the others. Got the first one and immediately got the rest. This series blew me away, I loved it. What I thought was going to be more of a young adult series was one of the best I have ever read. It sucked me in, I loved each character and couldn't wait for more. Antarktos Rising was the first book of Robinson's I read and what got me hooked, this series sealed the deal. It's beautiful in its detail, funny, full of adventure and a great story. I encourage you to check these out.

If you havent read his stuff you really should! This is the most recent start at the beginning and then woek your way here. You def need to read antartikos rising before this book and the previous hunter books before antartikos.
