"What drives you wild, Annie?" Sam asked as he nipped the back of her neck
"Wouldn't you like to know."
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I would. What does it take to find out?"
She faced him. "No way. A girl has to have a few secrets."
"I like mysterious women," he said with a smile.
"What's the smile for?" Annie asked.
"You want me to kiss you, don't you?"
She blushed. "What makes you say that?"
"I can tell. You have that look. You want me."
She laughed, but she could feel the blush spreading. "Oh, I do, do I?"
"It's written all over your pretty face, Annie."
"Oh, good grief!"
"Admit it, Hartford. You want my body. You've wanted it since you first laid eyes on me. Well, guess what?"
Laughter bubbled out of her. "What?"
"I'm yours, baby."
She felt something in her stomach dip. He turned her around in his arms and
gazed down at her face. She tried to look serious, but it was difficult. "I don't want to rush you, Sam."
"Rush me, Annie. Please."
