**THE LAST ESCAPE BOOK 2 OUT NOW!**Survival in Man’s Second Dark Age**

Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in nearly-medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning...

The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures that threaten to destroy the townships. Among the townsfolk, political and the religious, dissension is spreading.

Through it all, a mother must protect her son...

Was expecting a "pull out of the ashes" book but this is generations after that.

I love this book. It's a new take on the "end of the world" story. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Enjoyed this book very much and looking forward to beginning the 2nd. The characters draw you into their world and you are no longer reading but traveling along with them, feeling their fear. I recommend this book to anyone ready for an adventure they never even dreamed (or nightmared) of!

I got this one in the Ultimate Undead Collection and could not put the Nook down until the end. I immediately bought the second book and just finished the third in one sitting. Cannot wait to see what happens next!

I’ve read all of Bobby Adair’s SLOW BURN to date and enjoyed them immensely. I also read T.W. PIPERBROOK’S Contamination box set 0-3 and enjoyed them. But Contamination was frustration for me to read because the good guys kept making the same stupid mistakes and escapes lean toward divine intervention. But it seems to me the merger of the two have created great read. For whatever its worth I recommend this series on the basis of the first book (free by the way) and as soon as I post this I will buy the second book, as I am sure is why the first one is free. I read a lot of these free and discount books because a lot are really good and most are new guys starting out with new ideas. The only advice I could tell some of the authors (for what it’s worth) is create your protagonist smart and clever not invincible and all knowing. The same would have to be true for the antagonist. .

Great idea for the story. Constant action, very realistic, no significant logical errors. Excellent variety of characters with believable realistic behaviours. Great descriptions of peoples and places. I will definitely follow the story and read next volumes.
