This is a must read for anyone who grew up on Long Island in the 50s, 60s and 70s. I highly recommend the book.

This book was a refreshing read. It was an accurate account of growing up in a warm and friendly neighborhood. There were always children around to play games and use their imagination. Family values and religious values were stressed. Mom and Dad were happy together. Family members liked each other and supported each other. Neighbors were more than willing to help each other run for political office or just to lend a hand.
The book was well written and easy to read. I just loved the addition of pictures to support the story. I really enjoyed reading this book and feel you will too. It brought back many happy memories for me.
