Offering hope...

    Spiritual Transformation for Ordinary People
Stephen W. Smith
David C. Cook
ISBN: 9781434799951
Reviewed by Debra Gaynor for ReviewYourBook.com, 10/08
4 stars
Offering hope¿
The Lazarus Life reminds me of one of my favorite songs ¿Four Days Late¿ by Jessica King. Through scripture, we know that Mary and Martha waited for Jesus to arrive and heal their brother. By the time Jesus arrived, Lazarus had been in the tomb four days. All hope was lost. That is when Jesus does His best work. When we are at our lowest point and have no hope, we are more receptive to allowing Jesus to alter our lives. Four days late, and He is right on time.
Stephen W. Smith does an excellent job of sharing and explaining the Lazarus story. I will never look at this scripture in quite the same way again. Through his own life and the lives of ordinary people, he demonstrates the essence of the Lazarus story¿transformation. Smith writes in an easy-to-read style. His message is one that will touch the hearts of many. We long for a sincere change in our lives. Smith tells my story as though he knows me.
