Action alternates between the police investigation, with child psychologist Freyja coaxing details from Magret, and a seemingly unconnected storyline featuring Karl, an amateur radio ham. Listeners will be kept guessing as pieces slot into place, and the denouement more than makes up for having endured some numerical code read aloud and repeated.
