He's a living legend.

I'm a rock god.  It's no secret.

My band, The Nights, got our start playing at the Round Table in NYC.

I always wanted to be the king of Rock & Roll.

I just had no idea how close I already was.

Being raised in a foster home, I didn't know the extent of my inheritance.

Hell, I didn't even know I had anything.

And now, I've got it all.

But there is still one thing I want,

Guinevere DeGrance.

She's hiding in the wings.

I'm the opposite of him.

Quiet and reserved, always avoiding the limelight.

All I wanted was to play the cello, but trained for society,

I was forced into his spotlight.

Thrown into his crowd--with all eyes on me.

And I couldn't resist.

He's talented and sexy, completely irresistible.

He's changed me.

Awakened me.

He's everything to me.

He's Arturo King.

Meet the Author

L.B. Dunbar loves the original legend of King Arthur. Inspired by this classic tale, she pulled over to the side of the road to take notes when it hit her that if King Arthur lived today, he'd be a rock star. A lover of fairy tales, myths, legends, and anything with happily ever after, she loves to read and write contemporary romance. Her Legendary Rock Stars series is complete with the final tale: The Trials of Guinevere DeGrance, but the story began with The Legend of Arturo King. She also wrote The Sensations Collection, which includes five stand alones based on the five senses in a small town setting near Lake Michigan. Raised on one side of that lake, she grew up in Michigan, but now lives on the other side, in Chicago. Mother to four, wife to the one and only, and teacher to hundreds of former students, she looks forward to sharing more stories in the future.

****Received and ARC copy of the book for Honest Review**** L.B. Dunbar’s The Legend of Arturo King drew my attention because of the catchy title. The play on the main character of Camelot and The Knights of the Round Table drew me in even further. I’ve always loved the stories and retellings of Camelot, Uther and especially Merlin. I’ve been a fan of the period for years. I began the read not knowing what to expect. I enjoyed the book and what Dunbar did to change the stories. It was an interesting twist. I didn’t completely love it. I would give it a four star score and I’m rounding up from the 3.5 that I would actually give it. It had some great elements. I loved the way the characters names were changed to be key iconic individual’s names. I thought it was great that she had the characters have the personalities of them as well. I hate to say that she stuck to the standard story overall. She truly did modernize an already told story. With that key element, the book became predictable and I didn’t want to finish it. I loved the concept. I truly did, but it wasn’t one of my favorites. It is something that I would recommend to another, but with the following warning. ****SPOILER ALERT***** Not really. Lol! The story ends in a cliffy. I was a little disappointed with that one, but now I have to make a note to follow the author to see where she goes with this series. I want to read the next books because I’m not as familiar with the story of Lancelot or the character Perkins is supposed to be. I believe familiarity killed it for me.

An epic love story! Arturo King is the sexy lead singer of the rock band The Nights who has an intriguing family history. Guinevere DeGrance is the beautiful daughter of the owner of The Round Table, the club where the band got its start. What started out as a walk through Central Park blossomed into a love affair for the ages. This fantastic fairytale romance has plenty of passion, surprising revelations and teary-eye moments, It will captivate you from the start and take you on emotional roller coaster ride . All the characters are well developed and are loosely based on King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, but with a cool rock star twist. The chemistry between Arturo and Guinie is sizzling with red hot love scenes. This story is definitely a must read. I absolutely loved this story & I can't wait for the next one!!

This is my first book by author LB Dunbar. She is known for taking classic stories and giving them a modern twist. That being said, I couldn't wait to dive into The Legend of Arturo King and check it out for myself. This book started off a little slow for me, however once I got into it, I was hooked. The Legend of Arturo King is a modern retelling of King Arthur. I knew some of what King Arthur's story was about, so I was excited to see where LB Dunbar would take us! This story takes you for an interesting ride. There's music, romance, deception, and lies. And I loved all the twists along the way. I was left wondering what the true motives were for certain characters. The writing was smart and kept me eager to find out how everything would play out.  I like Arturo and Guinevere right away. Arturo was sexy, successful, broody at times, and doesn't give up on what he wants. The perfect compliment to Guinevere, who was more reserved, innocent and still trying to find herself. They both frustrated me at times, but their chemistry was undeniable. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and the path that it took.  Overall, I really did enjoy The Legend of Arturo King. I thought the story line was really unique and found the characters to be very enjoyable. It had everything that I look for in a good read and I can't wait to read the next book in this series! * I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
