Meet the Author

The EcoExplorers authors, Allen B. Graves and C. Joseph Elder, created The Legend of Hornigold’s Treasure, not by sitting behind a desk, but by packing their scuba gear and traveling to Andros to live the story. Staying at the Forfar Field Station they spent action-packed days with students in the field, and classroom, exploring coral reefs and the island. Venturing out into the Androsian pine forests they dived into remote blue holes that are seldom seen and well off the beaten path. Once home the authors blended their personal experiences and fictional imaginations into a story that puts a world of adventure in the palm of your hand.

This story is a marvelous mix of science, mystery, history, legend, romance, and intrigue. The setting is tropical and the investigation of its history exciting. Those interested in S.C.U.B.A. diving will be especially drawn to the exploration of "blue holes"!

Love this book. One of the most believable treasure hunting books written to date. Once you get into the story it's hard to put it down. Felt like I was scuba diving right along with the characters. Great ending too!
