Should appeal to a wide range of readers. I think they will eagerly wait for the next, and the next, and the next from the author, series or non-series. (I'll even bet her grocery lists would be fun to read!)

Mystery Stories That Pack A Punch!

I loved this author's first mystery A Nose for Hanky Panky and couldn't wait for another. Ms Love Cook doesn't disappoint in this superb collection. Here we see the origins for Granite Cove, the "sleepy seafaring village" in a couple of her stories. As a matter of fact, I first read "A Marriage Made in Heaven" in the magazine Over My Dead Body. I liked it so much I visited the author's web site and ordered her mystery, Nose for Hanky Panky from Mainly Murder Press (a coincidence as I grew up in CT near the publisher's town).

The stories are startling, scary and sometimes humorous. You won't be bored, let me tell you. Now I'm waiting for her next book. April S. Newberry

    Sharon Cook scores again!

For a Louisiana English teacher served a steady diet of southern writers, I am reminded by Sharon Cook's fiction that the first American literary renaissance occurred in New England. Her Legend of Judgment Rock and other Mystery Stories contains all the elements of good fiction, regardless of region. The title story has it all: suspenseful plotting; sharply drawn, believable characters; and a mysterious, ghostly atmosphere, set against the rugged New England coast. Following A Nose for Hanky Panky, The Legend of Judgement Rock proves that Sharon Cook is on a roll!

This set of short stories was better than most. 260 pages

Some of these short stories are older ones. Some are newer. There are mysteries, suspense, paranormal and a few other genres thrown in which made a pleasing combination of fiction. All were very well edited. I almost quit reading after the first story, Justice Rock, which is an urban legend. I am not a big fan of short stories or urban legends, but I enjoyed the other stories for the most part. There are 260 pages to this book. The storirs are nice clean reads and suitable for young people as well as adults.
