Overview

The Golden Eagle is the second installment in the Legionary Chronicles. Having defeated the Germanic tribes led by King Ariovistus, Caesar and his armies prepare for their next conquest after the winter months. Gaius’s bravery and skill in battle have made him a trusted and recognized soldier within the legionary ranks, winning both the esteem of Caesar himself and the enmity of a rival legionary. Caesar’s campaign takes Gaius through historical battles in Gaul and the perilous land of Britannia but the stirring of the conquered Gauls and strange events within the legionary ranks may prove more dangerous.

This adventure novel is suitable for both teens and adults and contains various footnotes to provide historical context to the narrative of action and adventure.
