The Life and Teachings of Jesus: A Restatement of the Gospelsby Preston Thomas (Editor)
This is a Jesus Study Bible. It distills from the Scriptures only those verses having to do with Jesus, and then arranges them in chronological order. Thus it presents Jesus' inspirational life story as it actually unfolded, from birth through death and resurrection. And by collecting all the teachings of Jesus in one volume, this book clarifies his original gospel of the kingdom and provides a trustworthy guide for living. Bonded leather edition.

You can think of this as a sort of "Diet" version of the New Testament, or New Testament "Lite with about 80% of all the extra trimmings of fantasy and science fiction having been removed from this edition",but still includes all the vital and most important necessary teachings of Jesus and his life as he lived it when he was here, taken directly from the New Testament. This Book,is a no nonsense, down to earth, serious and plain, non frilly, straight shooting from the hips, kind of book, that gets right down to the point, and cuts directly to the chase,so to speak, account of the teachings and the life of Jesus as he lived it when he was here. If, you are anything like me, and you like your facts, and information given straight to you without all the "extra added fantasy and science fiction which is included with a regular Bible" then you are going to absolutely love this book. It's the perfect book for you. Think of it as the New Testament with all the extra fantasy and science fiction having been removed from it,so what your left with,is what you should be left with,in other words, what your left with,is all you need. For me,in my personal opinion, this book is written exactly how the New Testament should have been written from the start. If the New Testament would have been written like this,in this format, then I think alot more people would be reading the New Testament. It would be alot more popular. I want to personally thank Preston Thomas for writing this book. Because he wrote this book, I can now once again read the words of Christ and I can read about his life and the events which took place in his life without all the science fiction and magical fairy tale like embellished contents which have been added onto his life story in the Holy Bible. Jesus taught, that what is necessary in order to obtain salvation is to believe in him. This book, will give you an excellent chance and opportunity to do just that as you read about Christ and his life, his words and his teachings,as they are supposed to be,in pure and direct form without all the "extra" fairy tale like information added in,such as has been done with the bible. This book is really really easy to read, and I can enjoy reading it every night before I go to sleep. This book, is short, simple and direct to the point about the life of Christ. You could consider it as a condensed and streamlined version of the New Testament, but it's more than that. So much more. I come from a christian background, and I attended a mainstream Christian church for almost 20 years, but for me, the Bible,as it is written, just never did work for me,it never happened for me,it just never "clicked" for me, and it taught me that God,is an angry, wrathful, and revengeful God who enjoys bloodshed by the bucketfulls and who will take immense pleasure in torturing humans forever in a lake of eternal burning fire. If anything, the Bible always raised more questions than there were answers. large parts of it seemed illogical, and seemed to defy the laws of science and nature as we know them, not to mention, all the numerous contradictions found within. Happy Reading, and May God always bless you in everything you do!
