    The Cake Told Me So

I have been learning to sign for twelve years and consider myself to be 'fairly' fluent. However I was just about to give up on those areas of BSL which I did not understand until I studied this book as part of my dissertaion research. Ever wondered how lip patterns fit into BSL without being the domination of English? Ever wondered why so many signs follow the physical nature of the world? I did, and this book explained it all to me in a way that truly inspired me to reassess my sign language.
