Overview

It's a little book with hundreds of pages of big a-mazing fun--in fact, some of the most incredible and detailed mazes you'll ever see! Will you go astray in the middle of the "serpents' circle"--or will you work your way out? Look into the swirling black-and-white funnel and find the lines that lead from top to bottom. Help a butterfly escape from a leafy bush. Draw a continuous line from A to B that passes through every diamond in a pattern--but none of the circles. Navigate through a cluster of open-mouth masked faces (make sure you don't get swallowed up here!). Help the prince locate the right road to the queen so he can present her with a rose. Fortunately, if you get a little lost along the way, the answers are your map out!

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
This four by five-inch book contains 170 mazes. The collection includes puzzles that range from easy to difficult. Most simply require finding a path from A to B, but many have specific instructions. One maze is a grid with all of the letters of the alphabet in a random pattern. The instructions are to find a path from A to Z passing through each letter only once. All of the illustrations are black-and-white line drawings, with just about every kind of images represented¾tile grids, flowers, knots, circuit boards, Celtic patterns and Islamic art. Solutions are provided for all puzzles in the back. This is a book for kids with time on their hands who like to be challenged. The small size is probably more advantageous for carrying around than for working on the puzzles. 2001, Sterling,
