Chapter OneThere once was a little girl, named Hayley, who loves to make believe.
When Hayley's friends come to play, she takes them to her dress-up trunk where they all put on pretty dresses, high heel shoes, glittering tiaras, and sparkling jewelry. Then they make believe they are Princesses.
The Princesses gather around the table and have imaginary tea parties with their dolls as guests. They pour everyone some tea, offer up delicious treats and use perfect, proper manners.
Hayley also loves watching movies. She likes to watch the same movie over and over again. Every so often she pretends to be one of the characters in the movie. She knows all their lines and she loves acting out her favorite parts.
Playing Rock Star is another cool game. Hayley stands on the fireplace hearth and makes believe it is a stage. Her mom gives her a microphone and Hayley performs her original songs for her family and friends.
Sometimes, Grandma goes exploring with Hayley. They make believe that they are on an adventure. They search for pirates and hidden treasure. Grandma and Hayley shine flashlights and tiptoe all around the house to see what riches they can find.
