Overview

Baby on his Doorstep!

Sheriff Garrett Brand has raised his entire brood of siblings single-handedly, and he’s done his best to teach them some values, to mold them into honorable, responsible, and trustworthy human beings. So when a baby lands on the doorstep of the Texas Brand, his first question is which younger brother is in for a butt-kicking? But the little fellow isn’t named after Ben, or Wes, or Adam, or Elliot. The little feller is named after him–Garrett Ethan Brand–according to the note his mama left behind.

He’s still racking his brain to figure it all out, when a woman shows up at the ranch in the dead of night, spitting, fighting mad, and accusing Garrett of murdering her sister and stealing the baby!

Chelsea is confused, heartbroken, and too mad to think straight, and the same trouble that found her poor sister is right on her tail. But of all the places she and the baby could’ve wound up, Garrett thinks this ranch is the best one.

Because this is one family that knows how to pull together and trouble doesn’t stand a chance against The Brands of Texas.

    Good book

I would have given four stars without the overly long sex scene. Iskipped it. Otherwise enjoyed it.

The Littlest Cowboy starts out with Garrett Brand being woken up

The Littlest Cowboy starts out with Garrett Brand being woken up by a sound.  He is the sheriff of a small town in Texas so he he goes to investigate the noise with his gun drawn.  What a surprise when the "noise" is a baby on his doorstep with a note saying he was the baby's father. Garrett knows this can't be his child but cares for the child anyway. He lives on a ranch with his 3 brothers and sister so they help out, however, they have no experience with babies so are not a lot of help. In the middle of the night, Garrett hears pounding on the door and answers it to Chelsea.  She has just come from identifying her sister's body and is looking for her sister's baby. Garrett wants to find out about the death of the baby's mother to see if she was murdered or had commit suicide.  As Garrett and Chelsea spend more time together, an attraction forms.

I liked this book and thought the first couple of chapters were sooooo funny. I was laughing constantly and didn't want to put it down. It was well written and very descriptive. The book is a great read and definitely captures the reader in the story line, but that wouldn't work if she didn't have good characters. Garrett was a wonderful man who was always looking out for everyone else, especially is siblings. Chelsea was not very likable in the beginning and had every right to be nasty since she believed Garrett to be Ethan's father and murderer of her sister. I liked the secondary characters and thought the Brand clan are fantastic.  I love how they worked together to solve problems.

    The author is a witch

Her bio claims that she is a wiccan high priestess...thats a satan worshipper. Dont buy her books even if they are free. Dont support black magic no matter what label they put on it. Youre either for God or against Him.

    Predictable

This book was very predictable. I did not like the main female character. She was annoying and stupid. I skipped over most of the book.

At first a I thought this bok was going to be about a girl getting pregnant and the guy not finding out about it till years later. I was wrong. I am so glad I read this book any way. I was so hooked. I also liked the fact that the main charactor was not able to fight off the bad guys by himself. I can't wait for the next book.

    Great storyline.

Loved this book, I'm a sucker for a story with a baby and a cowboy both. I'll admit it was a little predictable. But when you have read as many thousands of books as I have, most are. I loved it anyway.
