    candida, fan and listener

This is the most beautiful music I've ever heard. The instruments and way the music is so wonderfully written, make me feel as if there is so much to live for. I also play it for my infant at bedtime because it's uplifting and peaceful. It captivates me each time I listen to it. Thank you Sting and Thank you God for ears to hear !

Sting's music transcends his own style

Steve Wood has taken Sting's music (mostly from the 'Soul Cages' album), and has created compositions which paint vivid aural pictures, from rainforests to the Carribean Islands (emphasized by the steel drums). Throughout some parts of the album, the tracks are virtually indistinguishable from each other - the musical themes & variations all closely overlap the previous & following songs. No matter what environment you're in (car, home, office), the music fills your imagination with the tropical aspects of the ocean. I've listened to this album (from beginning to end) for at least 1400 times, and do not tire of it. The IMAX movie is primarily in documentary format, yet with the narrating voice of Meryl Streep, the music definitely shows soothing oceanic scenes, with or without the 70mm film to go with it.
