Editorial Reviews

GoodReads - Casandra Helzer
I absolutely loved this book. I loved that despite the fact that life was imperfect, they kept on going. The characters did not give up, even when it was hard. They relied on their faith and their family. This collection is one of my favorites and I will be reading this collection a second time very soon.
Jael Roy Blog - Jael Roy

Full of drama and angst these two novels were really entertaining, but they also touched on subjects that leave the characters and readers with lessons to learn from.
Book Reviews by Tima - Tima Murrell
I think this was my favorite novella collection yet. The two story lines were fun, entertaining, and sweet. But the authors also wove redemption, romance, and captivating plot to make really enjoyable stories that left me thinking about how I treat those around me. This book isn't just a romantic story, it's also a book that will make you look inside yourself to see what things might be keeping you from truly loving others.

Meet the Author

Cathy Marie Hake is a southern California native. She met her two loves at church: Jesus and her husband, Christopher. An RN, she loved working in oncology as well as teaching Lamaze. Health issues forced her to retire, but God opened new possibilities with writing. Since their children have moved out and are married, Cathy and Chris dote on dogs they rescue from a local shelter. A sentimental pack rat, Cathy enjoys scrapbooking and collecting antiques. “I’m easily distracted during prayer, so I devote certain tasks and chores to specific requests or persons so I can keep faithful in my prayer life.” Since her first book in 2000, she’s been on multiple best-seller and readers’ favorite lists.

Kimberley gets her inspiration from all sorts of places: travel, history, dreams and once over hearing (okay...eavesdropping on)  a conversation between a couple arguing in the grocery store line.  She not only is the author of 13 Inspirational romance books, but also writes and produces church musicals. She has been married for 28 years to her best friend, Brian, and has one son, Tyler, and a brand new daughter-in-law, Kellie! Kimberley resides with her family near New Orleans.

Combine them with a family of Scottish immigrant men who live true and love the Lord and you have some wonderful reading ahead
of you! Reverend Caleb Stone goes against the town busybodies to court a "fallen woman" wrongly accused.
Plain Patience Primrose never felt loved by anyone, would sheriff Lee Stone ever see past that plain exterior?
Crippled Carmen Rodriguez knew she would never have children of her own, who would marry a crippled woman?
So she cares for others children and for all those she sees have a need, often at the expense of her own needs.
Cobbler Duncan Stone wants to give her the shoes she needs to walk easier, but she refuses anything she thinks is charity.
Watch as each story unfolds and leads into the next.
