The whole reason I want a newspaper, especially a WEST COAST newspaper, is for sports scores and summaries. When are these papers going to provide access to standings, box scores, statistics tables, and so on? That's when I'll buy a subscription and keep it forever.

Sometimes the formatting is glitchy. I've found that the best way to get it delivered via the 3G is to leave the Nook plugged in between 3 and 6 am Pacific Time. If the paper isn't there (and it usually is completely downloaded with that method), a tap of the "Check B&N" from the Library works to download the link. Sundays' papers take longer (I guess to do the re-formatting and links necessary). But if you want all those scores in the Sports section, the weather, etc, they're there. Only one photo per article, however, so the elaborate layouts in Image and Travel are missing.

There isn't anything that would be concidered "news" in this, and what is there is so poorly written I couldn't finish half the articles.
I cancled my subscription after the first issue.

Good detailed articles from local to world wide news. The nook creates a database so in the future anyone can look at previous issues instantly!!!!

No ads, not enought pictures, format does not match other more superior digital paper such as USA Today, needs to be updated severely.

This adaption of the LA Times to the iPad is excellent, far nicer than the same subscription on the Kindle. It is easy to use, and the small summaries of the articles are informative. However, B&N should definitely have some instructions to help use the material properly. It took me a while to finally stumble on using the "goto" tab at the top to go from secion to section to look at the summaries of just the sections of interest.

Today, I am un-subscribing to the LA Times to protest the use of pictures that put our troops in harms way. I believe in free speech, however, I don't think the publication was acting in a responsible manner, and therefore doesn't deserve my patronage.
