Worship-the Key

Is your worship of the Lord bringing you closer to Him? Is it everything He is worthy of receiving?

The Lost Art of Pure Worship is a gathering of great spiritual leaders who share their unique experiences and desires about the precious act of worshiping a worthy heavenly Father.

James W. Goll, premier voice in the global prophetic and prayer and worship movements is joined by four other spiritual powerhouses to provide inspiration and insights about praise and worship.

Contributors include:

  • Chris DuPre, great song writer, seasoned worship leader, and teacher on the Father's heart of God.
  • Jeff Deyo, former lead singer of renowned Christian band Sonic Flood, song writer and leader of the Pure Worship Institute.
  • Sean Feucht, young leader of Burn 24/7, brings a next-generation voice.
  • Julie Meyer, one of the best worship leaders and prophetic voices from the International House of Prayer world in Kansas City.

Together, these four voices direct you into practical truths, passion with a purpose, and experience in pure worship to the one true God. The Lost Art of Pure Worship adds depth to individual worship as well as the global worship movement and tools for local churches.

The Lost Art of Pure Worship completes James Goll's inspiring The Lost Arttrilogy series. First was thought-provoking The Lost Art of Intercession, followed by the spirit-searching The Lost Art of Practicing His Presence (originally titled Wasted on Jesus). This series has been used by individuals, groups, and churches to revive three vitally important aspects of every believer's spiritual life.

The Lost Art of pure Worship by James W Goll is one of the best books I have read concerning worship. God calls us to worship Him in spirit and in truth and as Christians that is our calling. Over the last couple of months I have been interested in reading more about worship and how to be in the presence of Lord. This book was timely. The way the subject of worship is tackled, my mind got opened and after reading the book I had this desire from deep within me to surrender all to God and worship Him with ever thing I have. I have to say that at times, I have thought of worship to be just singing songs in church; you know those slow songs while lifting our hands. What the Lost Art of Pure Worship seeks to do is awaken believers to that place of true worship. Worship is more than just singing slow songs or going to church. It is about a lifestyle focused on Jesus Christ and seeking to do his will. I love the way the Lost Art of Pure Worship tackles the subject of worship. Rather than having a single author tell readers about his/her experience, we get to learn from multiple sources about their views and experiences on worship. These individual share their experiences with the Lord and the subject of worship, thus enabling us to easily connect with them. The Lost Art of pure Worship awakened a deeper desire in me of seeking the face of the Lord and not His hands because that is what worship does. I am grateful to God for using this book to talk to me. My prayer is that anyone who reads this book will come to a place where he or she can worship God in spirit and in truth. This review is based on the free ebook that was given to me by Destiny Image. However, the words are my own and are a true reflection of what I thought about the book after reading it.

The Lost Art of Pure Worship Jim Goll has written this book together with different well known worship leaders. These are people who know how to surrender, how to worship Jesus despite of whatever have come their way. This is why this book – The Lost Art of Pure Worship is so special and good. The teaching and testimonies shared are out of their personal walk with God. They have been tested and proven to be pleasing to God. It is not just an idea or a thought. Chris Dupre explained that Pure Worship is not attaining perfection in worship. It is when we are able to offer our struggling heart and give honor and praise to the Worthy One. I really like that. Worship is based on relationship – we are sons of God. We can be comfortable with Him no matter where we are at when we worship the Lord. We are responding to God’s love for us. When worship rise up from us to God, He will respond with love and power. His power will open gates and doors. Jim Goll’s teaching in this book is very clear and powerful with the word of God. The Lost Art of Pure Worship is for every Christian. To be called Christians, we need to learn how to worship Jesus. We can learn the Art of Pure Worship and yet enjoy the journey with our Maker. I love books with multiple authors because of the wider expanse of views and testimonies that you get. This book contains some amazing stories and personal experiences involving worship and how to cultivate a pure lifestyle of worship to God. I don't usually pick favourites but the best chapter in my opinion was chapter three by Julie Meyer - what amazing revelation from God's word and heart-felt stories from her own life! Great book overall! I received a free ebook from the publisher.

Coming from the background of serving at several ministries, and recently attending the Forerunner Music Academy at the International House of Prayer, I can honestly say that this book has been a wonderful companion to all that I have learned. In training to become an intercessory worship leader, I have learned many of the lessons in class that are covered in this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in learning more about their walk with Jesus Christ, anyone who is interested in leading worship, and even church pastors who desire for their congregations to come into a higher realm of worship in their services. This is a wonderful collaboration and I cannot wait to see what Mr. Goll and company put out next!

A fresh Revelation! This book was more then I expected. Not only did it open my eyes in revelation after revelation of understanding what it truly means to worship God, but with it conviction on how easily we can get our sight off of Him. James Goll and the other authors/worship leaders did an excellent  job with this book. Each person expresses a different aspect of what pure worship is, weather is singing, dancing, planning or serving, everything we do or say can be an act of pure worship. they explain what it is and how to do it by telling their stories and lining them up with the Word. You don't have to be on a stage leading people to be a worshiper. Worship is in all of us and if you have a desire to know Him more and go deeper in your relationship with Him, this book will guide you in that process. This was  a free ebook given to me by the publisher.

A Fresh Look at the Pursuit of God through Worship from a Pure Heart James W. Goll and Chris Dupre join forces with four other contributors, well known for their insights and experience as worship leaders in the book “The Lost Art of Pure Worship.” Each contributor is passionate about an aspect of worship close to their own heart. Their presentations are written with clarity and relevance. I gained a new appreciation for, and understanding of, what is meant by pure and intimate worship as coming from “the intent of the heart” offered up as praise, adoration, and thankfulness in pursuit of God. Each chapter includes the words of a song that “declare the glory of God” and make Jesus the center of our worship, bringing honor and praise to him. Well-chosen scriptures, personal stories, and practical instruction help the reader in their pursuit of a deeper understanding of purity in worship, individually or corporately, as a member of the body of Christ. Whether worshipping with your words, music, talents, service or lifestyle pure worship is a response to God’s love for us, out of a heart “secure in his affection.” The words of Sean Feucht caught my attention and capture a fresh look at pure worship. “There is a hungry stirring in the hearts of people all across the world to know, feel, and experience the presence of God. They are in a “quest for authenticity.” “The Lost Art of Pure Worship” gave me a fresh look at the pursuit of worship from a pure heart. A complimentary copy of the book was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.
