The dragonets of prophecy, free of both the Talons of Peace and the evil SkyWing queen, travel to the SeaWings' palace, hoping to find a safe haven from their many enemies. Infighting over who should lead leaves Tsunami feeling isolated. She dreams of a glorious homecoming befitting the next heir to the SeaWing throne. However, while Coral, the SeaWing queen, is welcoming, danger lurks beneath the dark water. Unable to speak the local language and thrust into a world of diplomacy and honor, Tsunami soon finds that the life of royalty is just as stifling as the cave in which she was raised. Faced with a choice between aligning herself with the SeaWings or continuing toward her prophecied destiny, Tsunami must decide where her loyalties lie. Along with the high-stakes decisions, the dragonets also face familiar adolescent challenges, including first crushes, parental angst and insecurity. This second installment in the Wings of Fire series proves to be as fast-paced and layered as the first. It also proves to be as violent. Gr 4–7—The dragonets set out to find the hidden underwater SeaWing kingdom and Queen Coral, Tsunami's mother, in this exciting sequel to The Dragonet Prophecy (Scholastic, 2012). When they arrive, Coral is thrilled to see the daughter who was stolen from her as an egg, but things don't go exactly as planned. Tsunami had always assumed she was the sole heir to the SeaWing throne, but a surprise younger sister leaves her confused about her future role, and Queen Coral's distrust of the other dragonets causes them to be imprisoned yet again. Having read the first book in the series will help youngsters understand the motivations behind the characters' choices, but isn't strictly necessary to enjoy the nonstop action. Tensions mount as someone continues to kill Coral's unhatched female dragonets, and Tsunami herself is attacked. The dragonets become more and more endearing as the series progresses, and the adults more sinister.     I would like to say wings of fire #1 was awsome!! My eight yr ol

    I would like to say wings of fire #1 was awsome!! My eight yr old son and I can't wait until bed time when he reads me a book then I read him chapters of wings of fire. He was very sad the night we were on our last chapter until I told him there was another book. I love the closeness we have and to teach him that reading can be fun and this book shows excitment and antisapation. I have ordered 2 and 3 and I will order #4 when it is available. Thanks

    Whens the next book

    I think the book was really good. Tusami led the way and was really ferice. But more of the others would have been nice. I cant wait for more. I could not put this book down ever. It was goooooooooood.

    Love!!!

    I loved this book and the first one. I COULD not keep my eyes off them. I'm really looking forward to reading the #3 book. If anyone knows how to get it on nook, PLEASE POST IMMEDIATLY!

    Great book. I would mainly recommend this book tweleve and under. Those he need a sersis to read have you tried wolves of the beyond, gardians of ga' hoole( both by kathryn lasky), warriors, seekers, and survivors( by erin hunter).

    This book is awesome

    If you like action packed books with the main characters being dragons.... then read it. But start with wings of fire. This series is an awesome read and is unforgettable. To those of you who want to know when the next book comes out, it is june the first 2013. And if you can't wait for the next book then reread the first two.

    Sloth hug!!!!

    Loved this book and also the series! The dragonetts meet Queen Coral tunimis mom. Its a really good book and for whoever likes this book and this series read the WARRIORS series! I was hooked in this book as much as the warrior series. Wich that seems inpossable/ the dragonett book is worth beeing read and is worth every single penny!!!!

    Wings of fire is cool

    Its a great book series and my fav dragon is clay because he brave,immune to fire and hes just trying to protect his friends and also was it really ok for marrowseer to kill perils mother and plus i hope the next sky wing queen is peril oh and one last thing its probably awesome to be royal like tsunami i cant believe her egg was stolen from queen coral

    Teh trollman tis back

    I would like you to know that this book is amazing . Anyone should read it, even those tiny little kids. If you don't like it, the TrollinWing clan will repeatedly TROLLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO you.     Itisawesome

    I looked away, eyes full of tears. My father, Webs, was dead. "What is happening." I cried. My last hope had murdered my father! "I shall get my revenge," I scowled. "Whitetip! Revenge WILL NOT HELP." Pineapple said. I just swam away. Whitetip was a SeaWing, proud to be Queen Dolphin's heir. When Queen Coral was murdered, and even before that SeaWing heir Tsunami went away leaving the SeaWing kingdom in peace. Well, rather than the horrible Queen Coral's death. Pineapple was half SeaWing, half RainWing. Not exactly my type. But I don't care. All I care is that stupid NightWing Morrowseer "saved" us with that prophecy is killed. "Queen Dolphin," I said as I swam into the throne room. (End of sample) not in book in aquatinmic
