Editorial Reviews

As a professional and as a parent, I recommend this book. The author recognizes the developmental aspect of discipline and gives realistic, practical advice for dealing with common discipline concerns. She recognizes that different approaches work with different children, so she lists a variety of responses for any given problem. The overriding theme is treating your children with respect, so they will learn respect. The chapters cover such topics as setting limits, communicating, managing anger, handling conflicts, and coping with common discipline problems. 2000, Berkley Books, $12.00. Ages Adult. Reviewer: S.
