This is not a low carb book, but the low fat/ high carb death diet that has cause so many health issues since it was dreamed up by a bunch of lawyers representing the food companies. It is pure garbage, recommending gains , 5 servings of fruit a day, and edible oil poisons like canola and corn oils. Some poor person is going to follow this, thinking that they are following a healthy low carb lifestyle, when it fact they are still following the low fat death diet. I bought it at the good will for a friend, but thankfully I read it first. It has hit the garbage where it belongs.
