The Lust of Ebenezeer Scrooge [NOOK Book]

Overview

This is a fable about a twenty-one year old man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who is frustrated with just about everything; his life, his job, his girl. Not unlike many his age, this particular individual displays little or no patience when dealing with anyone, and harbors the deepest suspicions for most everyone who he comes in contact with, regardless of the circumstances. But how did he become that way? Where did this compulsion get started? Surely this remains a reasonable question. When did all this thirst for power ...

When did all this thirst for power take root? Has it always been about money?

Surely then there was a time when, as big, and bad, and strong as he was, he had to have had them coming at him every time he poked his big broad shoulders in public! And, whenever he smiled no woman had a chance! That’s the Ebenezer Scrooge I visualize at age twenty-one! Just hitting his stride!

Meet the Author

John Thomas and his lovely wife of thirty years, Mary Ellen, have three grown children—all married—and one granddaughter, “the Cutzi Girl,” Letizia! They enjoy traveling and have been to such wonders as the Sphinx, and the Pyramids of Gaza, Stonehenge, New Grange, Anne Frank’s house, the Tower of London, the Parthenon, the Roman Colosseum, the Grand Canyon, and many other historical places. The two have enjoyed the artwork of the great masters such as Michelangelo, Leonardo, Tiziano, Raphael, and others. They also enjoy whitewater rafting and have spent days on the rapids of the Gauley, in West Virginia, the Chattooga (remember the film “Deliverance”) in N.E. Georgia, the Kicking Horse in British Columbia, and elsewhere. The two have camped out across the Canadian Rockies. They love cruising and do so every chance they get. John also enjoys reading books on European history, and Asian history. P.G. Wodehouse, and the sagas of Blanding’s Castle remain his favorite literature. He also enjoys foreign films.
