Kay McCabe would love to get rid of the Harvest Gold toilet in her front yard. It belongs to the two old Lutheran ladies who moved in with her after a tornado blew their house apart. They brought the toilet, along with a truckload of junk, a lifetime of opinions, and an introduction to a romantic, dark-eyed, Mediterranean man.
When Kay's job falls off an economic cliff, she desperately tries to save her house from the bank. The old women help--with thinly-veiled advice about her new job at a bar and her mysterious romance. Perhaps she should listen to them, especially when Kay finds herself avoiding family and handcuffed by the police.
Fortunately, the feisty old church women are there to manipulate her, fight with her, and prop her up. And best of all, like true Lutheran ladies, they'll even plant flowers in a Harvest Gold toilet while helping her through life's knotholes.

With raw humor the author tackles lifes miseries for main character Kay. Loneliness, fear, and loss of control of her life. Ultimately showing us that God is the author of our lives and we just need to stop kicking and screaming along the way. I needed this reminder. I hope you all read this book and be as refreshed as I was.
Hey...they got it fixed. The right contents are with the right cover. I enjoyed it.
This nook book has had the incorrect content since last year. Will it ever be corrected? I would really like to read it on my nook.
Enjoyed the first book. But currently (July 2015) if you buy the second book (Through the Knothole) for Nook on B&N, you receive the 3rd book (Thanks for leaving). Hopefully they will fix this soon. The preview also has the wrong book.
