    A mildy-interesting personal view

    The author was apparently privy to the Velvet Revolution and some important events in Solidarity's life, and writes of these as well as the Fall of the Wall and the end of Communism in Budapest. There are some interesting facts, but I really feel that the subjects are not covered in enough depth. Also, the views expressed in the book are somewhat personal and a little difficult for me to find interesting. I'm not sure who the author is and don't understand exactly why this book was written. I feel that, if it is a personal memoir, it should have been drastically expanded, in the manner of Misha Glenny's 'The Fall of Yugoslavia'. It isn't a bad book, but it's nothing great.
