Editorial Reviews

The Drood Review - D JS
Murray is able to nail down the atmosphere of the well-to-do, and Barnes' irreverent attitude about her situation makes for a great character - almost as if Spenser was a housewife.
Deen Kogan
A splendid series featuring a problem -solving sleuth with a Philadelphia Main Line twist. Definitely not your usual housewife detective.
Ellie Miller
"Thank heavens! A cozy with a brain!"
Bergold Lauren
To the best of my knowledge, no major literary award for "Best Chapter Endings" currently exists. The minute such a prize does exist, Donna Huston Murray will win it. Easily. Not content with merely writing excellent, cosy mystery novels . . . Donna Murray seems to put extra thought and craftsmanship into the very last paragraphs of those chapters. . .So pick a less than usually busy week to start your reading. . . .
Lou Harry
Murray knows the territory, and there's plenty of territory for her to cover. . .Ginger Barnes will be around for a long time.

Meet the Author

Donna Huston Murray writes character-driven mystery and suspense novels from the perspective of a woman who doesn’t take herself too seriously. While male counterparts tackle plots with the brain and brawn of an NFL linebacker, Murray’s heroines rely on life experience and an instinctive understanding of human nature. An interviewer once remarked that he read a Murray mystery, “to find out how a woman thinks.” She wished him good luck with that.
In addition to the Ginger Barnes Main Line mystery series originally published by St. Martin's Press, Murray has written for MYSTERY SCENE MAGAZINE, READER'S DIGEST, ECHELON, and REDBOOK. Her work can also be found in the Edgar-award winning companion book, THE FINE ART OF MURDER, and the LETHAL LADIES I and II anthologies by Berkley. CURED (…but not out of danger) is her first novel of suspense.
Donna and her husband live in the Philadelphia area and have two adult children

    An excellent beginning

I read a lot of books, but rarely write reviews. This book was most definitely worth the time to read and to indicate my pleasure in the story. I enjoyed the character development but they weren't overblown, something that is difficult to find in mysteries of this type today. I am looking forward to continuing the series.
