    It's the Beathes

    This book is not very original and it really doesn't uncover anything new (which would be hard considering that endless books have covered the band), but overall, the book is a good read, and you get a glimpse of what critics actually thought of the Beatles when the band was actually together, through and after their breakup. It is more a study of pop culture than a history of the beatles, which in itself makes for a good read. I read this book from start to finish and was very satisfied with the essays and articles that were included. Very good book.

    Know more about the music than you ever imagined possible.

    I have a friend who could have written this book. He has talked about these details over the years and I have listened, but not always comprehended. With the Beatles there is a progression to their music and how it is recorded. This is compounded by the egos of the group and their producers. When you read this book you gain an insight about the Beatles from an entirely different perspective. You see and understand why the music was produced, crafted, and distributed. UK and US are different. If you read this book you will understand and appreciate the Beatles and their music in an entirely different way. I ended up buying all the new CDs.
