Overview

Sebastian Boa defies all the rules. There isn't a woman who doesn't want the notoriety of being in his bed. When he crosses paths with Mariss Red at one of his clubs, his interest is quickly piqued, and he sets out to make a play for the confident beauty. But Mariss is married, and she has no desire to lose what she loves for a one night stand with the indulgent playboy.

When an attempt is made on Mariss' life, Sebastian rushes to her side. Those closest to him know that it's only a matter of time before his new infatuation causes him to crash and burn.

For a man who lives on the edge, the Rules of the chase become clear at the start. If he wants to win Mariss, he will have to play on her turf. Boundaries and all. The harder Sebastian tries, the more Mariss refuses, and the harder it gets to keep his control. The Man Without Rules finds himself changing to be worthy of the one woman who has ever told him no.

Meet the Author

Tyffani Clark Kemp has been writing since she discovered in the sixth grade that it wasn't enough just to read about fantastic places, but she could create her own. She weaves small bits of herself into everything she writes whether it be a science fiction piece about aliens or a dramatic romance fraught with conflict and love. She lives in South Carolina with her family and her fluffy shii tzu-mix dog who thinks he's a Saint Bernard. In September, she and a friend opened SideStreet Cookie Publishing. Kemp's curent works include Scorned: A LeKrista Scott, Vampire Hunted novel, and The Beasty Series, which includes Beast Within and Beast Anew.

This book has me from the start, it flows very smoothly. This is not your typical read it's dark, mysterious, and has you loaded with suspense. Tyffani won me when she added the cliffhanger. There are not many that can pull a good cliffhanger but she managed to just that.

Sebastian is the playboy of all playboys you're going to have a love/hate relationship with him. He is straight to the point and doesn't hide what is or what he likes. We all know once he sees something he wants he will have it no matter what. Mariss she has a little mystery to her but she is not one to back down she fights for what she wants and loves strong.

This one is going to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Not my usual thing, but fun read!

I wasn't sure about this series at first (although the author is such a sweetie, I wanted to give it a chance), so it was with mixed feelings I started this unusual (for me) romance series. The fact that Mariss is married to someone else was kind of the part that made me have issues. I don't mind three-some novels at all, that wasn't the issue.

In any case, at first, I thought Sebastian was a bit of a.... spoiled brat in more ways than one. I don't mind man-whores in my stories, but wow, he took it to a whole new level! I did however like Mariss from the start. She was conflicted but in a way I think a lot of people could understand, even loving someone. It was nice.

Toward the middle of this book, when more emotions came into play, I found I didn't dislike Sebastian as much as I did at first, and he really started to grow on me. Of course, we all hate Hellena, I'm sure. Julie was a hoot, although I did have one issue where her loyalties changed, despite knowing Sebastian so well. I thought perhaps she should have at least understood a bit where he was coming from, especially since that man has never been hurt before like that.

The writing and plot were actually very well done. Despite having the word erotic in the genre categories there, I was amazed at how very much story played into this novel and was extremely thrilled about it, of course. I like story with my erotic scenes.

If this were more my typical romance and I didn't struggle so much at the begging to stay interested, it might have had a higher rating. But because the middle through the end made up for it, I enjoyed the read immensely.

Fair warning though, this book definitely left things unfinished. Which is why I'm glad I had The Red Wife to move on to.

    3.5 Stars!

If you're here for erotica, you're in luck. If you like your stories with depth and complexity, you're even luckier.
This book will have you fanning yourself like a wilting southern belle in the midsummer heat - or contemplating
tossing an icy mint julep in your lap! As much as I enjoyed the chemistry, I loved the characters more. These
people are complex and confused, and struggling with emotional, physical, and moral issues just like in real
life. And just like in real life not everything can be beautifully and simplistically wrapped up in the length of a
book. The author has managed to create flawed lovable characters, throw in ample steamy scenes, and
somehow weave in story lines that are unexpected and enrich the story.
A stimulating read for the mind as well as the body!

The Man Without Rules by Tyffani Clark Kemp is...different.  It is obviously written as erotica, but I found the sex scenes to be short and abrupt.  The back story is terrific and it was fantastic to watch Sebastian grow.  He never actually redeems himself, but he has a good start.

I read The Red Wife before reading this book, and I was so intrigued by the back story to that book, that I was super excited to get the chance to read book one.

It was interesting to see Mariss and Bash’s relationship develop and grow from the beginning. Again, I felt the intensity of their feelings for each other, and I loved how they dealt with things in a mature way. Even with the cat and mouse game they played, Mariss was still adamant that her husband and her marriage came above all else. I liked that she didn’t just fall at Bash’s feet like most other women.

Bash is an amazingly written character who captured my heart. He was sexy, alluring, and a bit of a bad boy, but in a unique way. His personality had an ease to it and it felt like he was never trying too hard to be the guy that everyone wanted, he just was – he was magnetic and fun, and it came across naturally. He was the type of guy that I could have a good time with because he knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to ask for it.

I really enjoyed everything about this book. It flowed well, kept me riveted from page one all the way through, and offered me everything I love in erotic romance – great sex scenes that stretched the boundaries without being overly garish, forbidden romance with super-charged chemistry, plenty of sexual tension, and a sense of realism that is not often found in erotic reads. It wasn’t all about the passion and lust, but had a great story that could have easily carried this story without the sauciness. Not that I’m complaining about the sauciness because it just made this book all the more spectacular.

I would recommend the Without Rules Series to anyone looking for a great erotic read. You will not be disappointed. And if erotica makes you squeamish, just skip past the steamy scenes and enjoy the fantastic love story woven into this story, along with plenty of suspense, intrigue and passion.

I've gotta put this one close to the middle of the road for me.

I've gotta put this one close to the middle of the road for me. When I saw it was about a hot male supermodel that owned a kink club, I expected something totally different than what I got. Not that that's a bad thing, necessarily. The book just didn't flow well for the way I read. It took me 4 days to get through this book - which is a long time for me lately.
I never fell in love with the main characters and there just seemed to always be chunks missing from the story that would be beneficial to know as a reader. There are more twists and confusion than I thought possible and the story doesn't come close to concluding at the end of the book. I realize that this was a "Book 1", but I expected some sort of resolution to any one of the open twists. I feel like Sabastian/Bash/Bassy is being played by way too many people in this story, and I'm not real comfortable with that idea for some reason. He's a smart, successful, wealthy man with a lot of connections so there must be some type of enormous conspiracy for me to find the entire thing believable. It's gotta be more than something as simple as a woman scorned. I think that Mariss/Red is a true victim in the grand scheme of things and I want her to be. I was not a fan of Sabastian's in the beginning - or for most of the book for that matter. I do believe that he has fallen in love with Mariss (and vice versa), but I have a feeling that her husband is behind a lot more of the goings on than he appears to be. The next book could shed a lot of light on all of the questions in my head, but I'm not really sure that I want to go there. My curiosity is piqued and the question now is by how much? Many of the sex scenes were fairly hot. There is a lot that could be solved if Mariss, the husband (Holden) and Bassy could come together as a permenant trio and just share the love, but I don't see that ever happening. If I do opt to pick up the next book, I hope to see more of the secondary characters that I grew to care for - Juliet, Marsha and even Eloise and Paul (I don't know why but they are just memorable). I was glad for the read but just don't know what to do with the information now.

Wow, where to begin. Sebastian Boa is a male model, and he knows it. He also know the effect he has on women and he not ashamed to use it to his advantage to get what he wants. Aside from being the top male model he also owns a fetish club. Were he works with Hellena, and Hellena loves him or she believes she does and wants him for herself. When Mariss Red and her husband come into the club one night, Sebastian is intrigued and wants to know her better. When he learns they are at the club for a three-some, Sebastian automatically puts himself as the third party and her wants Red. But Mariss refuses to give in to Sebastian and she will fight him through it all. Will Sebastian give up on trying to win over Mariss or will he move on? Can Mariss stay strong and keep refusing him? What has Hellena got planned for them all? There are a lot of twist and turns and just as soon as you think you might have it figured out, you find out that you are wrong again. This is a great story and I love it. This is a first for me by Tyffani Clark Kemp and I can't wait to read more from her.
