American author and clergyman HENRY VAN DYKE (1852-1933) was pastor of Brick Presbyterian Church in New York City from 1883 to 1899 and professor of English literature at Princeton University from 1899 to 1923. He wrote numerous books of poetry and devotion, including Little Rivers (1895), The Other Wise Man (1896), and Fisherman's Luck (1899).

About the Author

Henry Van Dyke was an early American poet who was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Later, he taught at Princeton University and lectured at the University of Paris. His works comprise over forty titles including The Mansion. Dan Burr earned a bachelor s degree in fine arts at Utah State University and a master s degree in illustration from Syracuse University. He and his wife, Patti, live with their two children and numerous animals on twelve acres of river bottom land in Tetonia, Idaho, a setting that provides great artistic inspiration.
