    A True Christmas Classic

I also remember this album from the 1960s. I was a college student majoring in music education. The Robert Shaw Chorale was admired by all my fellow music students and even by our professors. As a teacher, Robert Shaw's arrangements of a wide, wide variety of choral music were a major resource for me. I never used an arrangement that was not thoroughly enjoyed by my students and always challenging to them and to me.

    Christmas perfection

I remember this as an album from my childhood and am thrilled that it is on CD. Musically one of the finest Christmas compilations - and with songs not overused by other artists - probably because this is good traditional music. It is exquisite!!

    My favorite Christmas album

This puts me in the mood for Christmas more than all of the 20 other Christmas CD's I own. Traditional and beautifully sung. I play it over and over. Much better than the various artists Christmas CD's where you like some songs and don't like others.
