    Adventurous easy read

This was a great little story! I enjoyed reading about John's adventure to manhood on the sea, his loss, his morals and ideals, his struggles and his loyalty. It was a fun read for a Sunday afternoon.

    Great!

Well done story. It does remind me a bit of the Hornblower series, but still excellent. Please, you've left room for sequels, so I hope to see more of John and the rest.......

John is no Horatio Hornblower, but it is still a good read and one I can recommend to my grand kids without hesitation.  Now to find out whether Mr. McWhorter has done any more.

    Help is coming!

Alright, someone asked for help because a girl asked him out and now i have the answers. Since i am a girl i will help. Now what you neeto do is ask yourself do i like her or is there anything that we have in common? If so then ask her some questions about herself. If you have even more in common, then go out with her. If there isn't anything you like about here then don't go out with her. Just simply say you aren't really interested. Let her down slowly because girls are sensitive. And this just isn't for the person who asked for help, it is foall of you who have relationship problems. Love is complicated and it can be tough but if you ask the right person then tjings will go great. By the way, did I mention I'm only eleven?
