Since the release of their mega-hit album Enema of the State, Blink 182 have become a staple of MTV and graced the covers of both Rolling Stone and Teen People. Not that the band's music isn't inescapably infectious -- heavy enough for quality headbanging, yet melodic enough to hum in the shower. Since the release of their mega-hit album Enema of the State, Blink 182 have become a staple of MTV and graced the covers of both Rolling Stone and Teen People. But parents looking for holiday gifts for their pre-teen skate rats might want to think carefully before picking up Blink 182's live disc, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show. Not that the record isn't one of the tightest and most exuberant concert recordings in recent memory. Not that the band's music isn't inescapably infectious -- heavy enough for quality headbanging, yet melodic enough to hum in the shower. It's the band's potty-mouthed humor that some might take exception to. Blink 182's copious between-song banter is bluer than Sam Kinison, less politically correct than Bill Maher, and -- to their fans, anyway -- funnier than South Park; it's the missing link between the group's upbeat, turbo-charged pop-punk and their insistence on streaking in their videos and placing porn star Janine on the cover of Enema of the State. If you're able to overlook their jokes' controversial themes -- homosexuality, incest, animalism, herpes, and ca-ca -- there's plenty to enjoy in the yuksters' Bad Religion-meets-Descendents songcraft and clever, self-deprecating lyrics. Occasionally, as on the suicide ballad "Adam's Song," the band even reach a level of poignancy. But songs such as the 28-second "Family Reunion," which consists wholly of the lyrics "Shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, mother-fucker, tits, fart, turd, and twat," are really more representative of Blink 182's juvenile raison d'ĂȘtre.
All Music Guide - MacKenzie Wilson
Power punk funny guys blink-182 capture their witty stage presence on the limited-edition release The Mark, Tom and Travis Show The Enema Strikes Back. Celebrating the quick success of their major-label debut, 1999's Enema of the State, The Mark, Tom and Travis Show showcases playful live cuts and previously unreleased tracks and, in keeping with blink-182's punk revivalism, the album is only available from the time of release and January 2001. The Mark, Tom and Travis Show is indeed a real rock show and catches blink-182's shameless personalities and childlike giggling about oral sex, dog semen, and masturbation. But that's what makes blink-182 popular: the band's ability to not care about anything is a carefree look for the pop kids buying its records. The bandmembers' immaturity is harmless and fans love it. The quick guitar riffs and swirling percussion are intact, and guitarist Tom DeLonge's hyperactive retaliations against the audience are merely an act for the sake of being cool. DeLonge and bassist Mark Hoppus are even funnier with their on-stage brotherly love affair. It's high-speed energy at it's finest, probably the cheekiest punk rock stake since Green Day's "Longview." And in the midst of teen pop mediocrity and post-grunge rollickers, it's good to see a band such as blink-182 enjoying its time on top of the world.

    The best

Blink-182 is amazing live. This cd cracks me up so much with all the jokes they tell. And all the songs are rad. Unlike their other CD's, this one deserves the Parental Advisory sticker. I don't really recommend this to anyone under like 13. But who cares. There is one thing missing from this cd though. ''Josie.'' That is an awesome song but it doesn't change my opinion about the cd. A must buy.

    The Best C.D Ever!

I think that The Tom, Mark and Travis Show c.d, is the best c.d ever. The reason I think that is because of the way that Tom changes his voice during the different parts of the Adam song. Also Because I love blink 182 a lot!

    A non-trendy blink fan.

This is the funniest live CD I've ever heard. This totally makes up for the horrible music blink did in Enema of the State. I listen to CD all the time and I recommend it to everyone. Good job guys!

    COOL & FUNNY

This is CD is MUCH better than Dude Ranch and Enema of the State. It has all of their hits like ''All the Small Things'' and ''What's My age Again.'' All of the songs are LIVE except for ''Man Overbord.'' The only song that I think they should have is ''Josie.'' Ev Now, the stuff before each song is FUNNY!!!! This is the FUNNIEST CD in I have EVER heard in my life. This CD is for any huge Blink 182 fan. It's is the bomb and.... STUFF....

    Not as good as before

The first time I heard Blink-182, I was hooked on their music. Their lyrics are good and some of their songs are funny and enjoyable to listen to. Dude Ranch, and Enema of the State were awesome albums, but I thought their latest album, The mark, tom and travis show, was not a very good album as the previous ones have been. There were a couple song that really got my attention, and the live audience was good, even thought i couldn't hear some parts of song through them. Overall, this was a pretty good album, considering it was a live album, but not as good as the previous ones.

    seLLouts

BLink 182 were one of the best punk bands in the world, untiL they soLd out. Now, when i mean seLL out, i refer to the fact that now they are no Longer punkish. Yes, this cd is good, but that is just because i think everyone enjoys the music of bLink 182. I, personaLLy feeL that bLink 182's old music is much more enjoybale, so if yer Looking for TRUE punk, buy chesire cat or buddha..now that is true punk

    Blink 182 Rules!!!!

This Album is the best, but i suggest that you don't buy this cd if you already have ''The Enema Of The States'' because its all the same and only have 1 new track so why buy it? If you like that song real bad download it off Napster , the reason i bought this was becuase i don't have the last cd. But otherwise this album rules!!!!!
