I was hooked within about 10 mins, the is always something going on, never any temptation to skip ahead a few paragraphs ever word held a piece of the puzzle so to speak. And to counter the reviewer who said the author used too many "BIG WORDS", the vocabulary and grammer used by the different people from different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, education, and different worlds would not be the same just as it is now in reality. The way English speakers in the US speak is not the same as those in the UK nor is it the same as what was spoken 100 years ago. The author did a great job creating contrasting language and speach for the charaters. Don't forget most e-readers have look up features, if the words get too big for you you can always grab a dictionary and learn something. Duh!

an original fantasy novel with original ideas, not your usual magic and mages... an engrossing plot and concept... would like a sequel

This book has a great storyline, HOWEVER, the author uses too many big words. Glad he has an astonishing understanding of the English vocabulary, but unnecessary for this book. The story jumps between characters and their actions, so sometimes a little hard to keep up with. Otherwise, a good read.

An unusual world, well realised and convincingly depicted. I really did feel a part of the world of Blake and Bosch and Magritte

Overview
If it can be imagined then it can exist; what might only be pictured in this world can take on a tangible reality in another... the Kingdom of Beulah. Usually access to this realm is denied us, but a group of young art students find themselves drawn into its turmoil, become a part of the world of Hieronymous Bosch and William Blake, of Edvard Munch and Rene Magritte
