The McEllis Boys is a perfect book to just sit back and relax with. Sturgill is wonderful at creating memorable characters and relationships. This book had me laughing out loud at things like Mary's witty thoughts and Ian's distrust of alarm clocks, then pulled at my heartstrings when it came to things like Cavanaugh's past. While it is predictable in that it is a romance novel, the execution of it is anything but. The characters are relatable and, while the book is long from having four romances, the writing never drags and the reader is never bored or waiting for something to happen. Sturgill paced the book perfectly so that it seemed like a plausible amount of time for the characters to really get to know and fall in love with one another. Overall, this book is a great and relaxing read. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I loved it!!! The brothers have anger and resentment towards each other and have never seen each other for about 10 years until they get a letter from their mother saying she was sick. Their mother hired a healer to send the brothers to the year 2011 to learn forgiveness, healing and love.
The brothers had to learn how to adjust to the new time period. I laughed so many times at how clueless they were. I mean, who wouldn't be? they went from 1875 to 2011.
The brothers found wonderful women that needed their help and in return, helped them to forgive, heal and love each other. I love how the author had a slow pace and didn't rush through the story. She made the story realistic. I really loved watching them grow into amazing people. I love The McEllis Boys and the women are great role models!! It's an amazing book to read!

It’s been 11 years since all four of the McEllis boys have been together, but when they get word that their mother is dying, they all come running home to see her. There is plenty of hurt and anger between the brothers, as well as needing some growing up, so their mother asks Mary, a local healer, to help her sons to learn how to grow, forgive and heal.
Although there is an element of paranormal in the form of Mary using some magic to send the boys from 1875 to the year 2011, I still would NOT classify this book as a paranormal at all. It really is a book about 4 gorgeous cowboys finding love, passion, healing and forgiveness.
After the McEllis boys wake up and find themselves in a foreign house, in a foreign time, they have to learn to adjust. I literally laughed out loud many, many times at the culture shock that they have to endure. I mean, indoor plumbing? Who would have ever thought of such an amazing invention?!
The author paints such a wonderful picture of everything, that I was able to see it in my head. The character development is phenomenal, I feel like I personally know each and every one of the characters, whether or not they are a main character or a supporting character.
There are very few sex scenes, but they are written in a way that makes them very sensual and passionate. They are in no way raunchy.
This romance is so good that I didn’t even remove a star because of the minor proofreading errors that I found. ‘The McEllis Boys’ comes to an end with a wonderful epilogue and an HEA ending.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I could not put this book down. It was a fantistic book with a great mix of genres: romance, western, time travel and paranormal. It had a bit of something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this book! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Great book. I was completly enthralled and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I'm not one for cowboys and historical fiction but thiese boys kept my attention throughout the entire book. This is one author to watch over the next coming years. I can't wait to see what she writes nextWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
