Overview

This is not just a story. This is not to entertain. This is far from having the size and the writing of a conventional book. If you are looking for hours of pleasant writing about descriptions of characters or places, this is not what you are searching for.

This is a small written work belonging to a sci-fi series called Softweapons that is solely focused on sharing with you powerful ideas that will most probably shake some of your beliefs about yourself and the world. Softweapons mixes plot with reflections, explanations and philosophic texts in a writing that is neither formal nor poetical. It is just as if someone was reporting something that happened.

Meet the Author

I do not consider myself a writer. I am rather a creator. I create stories and concepts. And they are not specifically tailored to any media format. So they could become either books or movies or videogames or even other media experiences. Media formats are nothing more than possible translations of my stories and ideas.Among all my ideas, I would say most of them are inspired by my ambition to predict the future. And the greatest asset to do so is the past. Looking at the present with the “eyes” of the past should be the same as looking at the future.Unfortunately, I do not have budget to freely choose any media format for my stories. Writing is thus the only feasible option. Maybe someday I will have the means to extend to other media. For now, I just want you to see what I see. And I believe writing allows me to convey all my ideas to you.

Easy to understand - Hard to think about While the book has an accessible writing, its content is thought-provoking and far more difficult to understand or speculate. Although the characters aren't developed, I found myself several times wondering about how would I behave if I were them. In a sense, empty characters make it easier to do so. The story focus is on a plant that cures all the diseases and the endless possibilities of such thing. But along with great possibilities there are great dangers. Thinking about whether the world is prepared to such treasure is really tough, and the story shows it well.
